When Your Love for Travel and House Music Come Together

When Your Love for Travel and House Music Come Together

For a long time, I didn’t know how my love for travel and house music were supposed to fit together on my blog or social media content.

I’ve had this travel blog for years. I built a business in marketing as a digital nomad, then wrote a book about it. And a few years ago, I became a DJ and started making music.

“Niche down,” they say (I would know, I’ve worked in marketing all this time, haha)

But maybe we were never supposed to fit in one box.

You can be the engineer who loves to bake. The girl crushing it in sales who also shows her art at Art Basel. The lawyer with tattoos who wants to be a beekeeper. The travel creator and musician who loves to see the world.

We get one life: go on the adventure, make the career pivot, try the thing you’ve been thinking about, post the thing you’re afraid people will think is cringe.

A hundred years from now, no one is going to remember that you almost didn’t do it because you were worried about what someone might think.

[ afterlight ] has become one way I’m bringing different parts of my world together: DJ sets in stunning locations around the world. And it fits these beautiful contradictions perfectly.

For my recent DJ set in Madeira, Portugal, as the sun was setting, instead of winding the music down, I built the energy up - the darker it got, the more energetic the music became.

Beyond excited to share [ AFTERLIGHT: MADEIRA ] with you. Watch it below, and be sure to subscribe to my channel for future DJ sets.

And you can also catch my previous set for [ AFTERLIGHT: CAPE TOWN ] here.
