For a long time, I didn’t know how my love for travel and house music were supposed to fit together on my blog or social media content. I’ve had this travel blog for years. I built a business in marketing as a digital nomad, then wrote a book about it. And a few years ago, I became a DJ and started making music. “Niche down,” they say (I would know, I’ve worked in marketing all this time, haha). But maybe we were never supposed to fit in one box.
As a digital nomad who prefers having a home base and traveling whenever while working online with a home and community to come back to, I don’t think I would have guessed I would have lived out of my suitcase for eight months straight in 2024! I’ll…get to that. There were also planned trips with friends, including Japan for my birthday (with a major unexpected twist!), Spain for European Summer, and a bunch of shorter trips all over Mexico between my time in the US. Plus, the release of my audiobook version of Infinite Entrepreneur!
I’ve said that Montenegro feels like Croatia did ten years ago, and many other travelers have agreed with me! This Balkan country in Eastern Europe is known for its natural beauty both inland and along the coast. Here are my thoughts on traveling to coastal Montenegro - specifically Budva and Kotor - in the summer!
I recently went to Paris for the second time, spaced several years apart. It’s safe to say that Paris is now one of my favorite cities on the European continent, and France in general (after revisiting the French Riviera) has jumped up quite a few ranks as one of my favorite countries to visit in the summertime. If I had to choose a few words to describe all the travel I did in 2023, I would choose, “unexpected,” “epic,” and “how-is-this-my-life.” (Using hyphens for that last one to make it one word haha, and I mean it in a good way!). 2023 was the year I released my book, Infinite Entrepreneur, the year I started putting the DJ skills I learned in Fall 2022 to use, and the year of many twists and turns.
