Still to this day I hover over the "submit" button when purchasing airfare. It could be a short flight to Denver or a longer roundtrip flight to New York. Either way, I see the fare - no matter the price - and procrastinate with that button before I commit to my trip. I don't know why, because once I commit I get excited on the future travels that lie ahead!
Sometimes saying YES - whether it's to travel or just in terms of spending the money on travel - can make us have second thoughts.
But you know what happens when you have second thoughts on a flight? You wait to check back on it, and the fare goes up. Again. Day after day! It could be pushing "submit" now, or waiting a couple days and the fare goes up $200 (this happened to me last fall).
You know what's crazy? We know the fare will go up, but we still wait to buy, until it gets to the point where we have to choose - to go or not go. If the fare gets too high, we have to put travel on the back burner.
